Episode 25 How To Survive The Storms of Life Part 2: Why Would God Allow A Huge Crisis?

Why would God allow such a huge crisis to happen to anyone?

He explained why He brought 40 years of crisis to the ancient people of Israel and we read it in Deuteronomy 8:2-3, “And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.

In verse 16 the Lord finished His explanation and said, “that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end.”

This is why Jesus finished his Sermon on the Mount with the same promise. We read it in Matthew 7:24-25 (New Living Translation), “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.”

No matter what we face in this life the Lord Jesus promises us if we follow His teaching we will not be destroyed.
